Saturday August 18th, I finished 9th place out of 9 in Sport men
results , I was one minute out of 8th place and two minutes out of 7th place. It was 1.5 laps and 18 Kms in total. It took me 1hr 25mins. My Average heart rate was 181 Max was 194. It was 27 deg C. My first half upper lap was 31 mins then I did the lower half lap in 29 mins so I was at 1hr for the first lap when I got my legs and lungs and did the same upper half lap in 25 mins. At that point I had lost too much ground on the bad start to come back. I was happy how I climbed and there was alot and I did pretty good on the down hill technical sections but that's where my time was lost. I had fun. The race was held at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Thanks Shauna T & Trevor C for coming out to cheer me on. Thanks to Boiler Tech, my parents, Bob B for donating your hard earned money to help me raise the pledge minimum of $130 so that we can make a family happy in Africa with a nice bike to ride.

africa bike project and all the volunteers for putting on this great first class event. I Helped Crazy Larry and Kelly set up the lower half lap of the course. The BBQ after the race was so good. Having Crazy Larry on the mic was a great time, great job Larry.
