2020 Mountain Bike Racing Season Recap

 
There were no races for the season because they were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I kept training until spring time and then I was just riding my bike because I have lots of fun. 

This was my seventh year getting coaching from Heather k. I went a total of 1,522 Km’s training on the road and trails along with indoor spinning and cross country skiing.

December 2020 Training

November 2020/2021 River Cree Hockey League


 Tue 3rd, (Game #7) 1 Goal & 1 Assist
@ 7:30pm, River Cree arena Rangers vs. Mighty Pucks (L 6-5) We started out with a two nothing lead only to have them storm back with four straight goals. We then got the momentum back with three straight goals for a lead late in the third period only to give back the lead late in the game. We showed great passion.

@ 7:45pm, River Cree arena Rangers vs. Steel Hounds (W 8-3) We played really well tonight as a team because we supported each other. Big game by James S with five points.

Mon 26th, (Game #5) 1 Assist
@ 7:30pm, River Cree arena Rangers vs. Steel Hounds (W 7-4) We out skated them. We did really well at getting in on the fore check and cycling the puck around for our scoring plays. Big game by Ryan S with five points.

Sat 24th, (Game #4)
@ 7:30pm, River Cree arena Rangers vs. Mighty Pucks (L 3-0) They had lots of pressure on us and at times we could not get the puck out of our zone. Our goalie was fantastic as always literally standing on his head. I played Defence for the first time ever.

Mon 5th, (Game #3)
@ 10:00pm, River Cree arena Rangers vs. Jokers (L 4-0) We put in a hard effort tonight. It just seemed like the bounces didn’t go our way.

Sat 3rd, (Game #2) 1 Goal
@ 6:15pm, River Cree arena Rangers vs. Bandits (L 6-3) We started off great, skated hard. We had the lead heading into the third period. We could not keep our lead.

2019/2020 River Cree Hockey League Season Recap


This was my twelfth consecutive season playing in a men’s ice hockey league and my seventh with the Edmonton Rangers. We finished eighth out of eight teams in division 20/20. I played in 22/26 games and tallied 12 Goals & 13 Assists for 25 Points and I led our team in scoring and was ninth in the division for scoring. I was awarded player of the month for February. We moved to this league because the games are all played at River Cree Rink. The competition was pretty hard. I really like this league because there is more early games. Our team started the season slowly including many close losses however the second half we started to really play well. It was a great group of teammates to have some awesome fun times with. The season was cancelled in Mid March because of COVID-19 disease concerns.
