Rundles Revenge Trail Run Race 2023 @ Canmore Nordic Centre

 
Sunday June 25th, I finished 5th place out of 9 in the Men aged 40+ category Results. It took me 53 minutes to complete 1 lap and a total of 7 km's long. The total Elevation gain was 719 feet. My average heart rate was 167 bpm and max was 180 bpm. 

The course was so much fun because half of it to start was all up the mountain for a long climb and then the rest was all downhill from there. My legs were sore from yesterday’s 50km MTB race. I had a great time racing.

The temperature was deg 15 C. I would like to thank all the volunteers and Trans Rockies for putting on such a great event.

Rundles Revenge MTB XC Marathon Race 2023 @ Canmore Nordic Centre

 
Saturday June 24th, I finished 43rd place out of 47 in the Men aged 40+ category Results. It took me 4 hours & 57 minutes to complete 2 laps and a total of 50 km's long. The total Elevation gain was 4,140 feet. My average heart rate was 167 bpm and max was 194 bpm. 

It took me 2 hours to complete lap one and then 3 hours to complete lap two. On the start of lap two my legs started to really cramp up including not even able to stand up. The course was awesome because there was really long climbs with awesome fun down hill sections. I was really proud of myself for finishing the race. 

The temperature was deg 23 C. I would like to thank all the volunteers and Trans Rockies for putting on such a great event.

Canmore Canada Cup MTB XC Race 2023 @ Canmore Nordic Centre (Alberta Cup XCO)


Saturday June 17th, I finished 10th place out of 10 in Expert Men category Results. It took me 1 hour & 14 minutes to complete 3 laps and a total of 13 km's long. The total Elevation gain was 1,230 feet. My average heart rate was 181 bpm and max was 193 bpm. I finished -2 laps because it was five laps total.

This was my first MTB race in four years. My mom came to watch & cheer me on and it gave me a huge boost of energy that I would not have had. The course was very technical with black and blue trails. There was lots of shorter really steep climbs and overall lots of climbing. There was no really long climbs. There were a couple of black diamond down hill sections that a couple I could ride and a couple I had to jump off and run down a tiny bit.  I had lots of fun.

Thu 8th, MTB ride to Millwoods Ravine for 1 hr & 40 mins Average heart rate =155 Max =188 Elevation gain 456 feet. Km's 18
